Interpreting Utah's Landscape Inside Delta Operation Hall
Walking into the Delta Performance Hall, you could exist forgiven for thinking you've stepped into a southern Utah canyon. The Eccles Theater architects at Pelli Clarke Pelli, were so inspired by the southern Utah landscape, they decided to bring information technology into the Theater.
The walls, seats and floors are awash in the colors and striated patterns of the canyons and the signature star-field ceiling is reminiscent of a large, clear, star-filled night sky. One happy and unexpected consequence of the star-field ceiling is seeing how some acts integrate it into their performances.
